Media Center Information
The Berne Union Media Center
The Media Center provides library services to students and teachers of grades 7 through 12.
It houses over 7,500 volumes and is the home of the High School computer lab.
The Media Center is centrally located near the High School Office and is designed in three levels.
The first level houses the Non-fiction book section, the Reference section. Video materials for teachers. Magazines ,as well as back issues of magazines.
The first level also has the Technology Office and the High School Computer Lab as well as Mrs. Goss' office. The Media Center office contains past Bern Union yearbooks and many past issues of "The Fairfielder". "The Fairfielder" was a county publication that contained graduation information for all the various county high schools, as well as student writings, events, and other important information pertaining to the schools.
The second level has the Advanced Readers for students who like the classics and adult fiction authors such as John Grisham and Stephen King.
The lower level houses the Young Adult Fiction books.
The lower level is also where Mrs. Goss' teaches her Media Literacy classes, the Board of Directors holds it's meetings, and other meetings and special events occur when needed.
The Berne Union Media Center is operated by Mrs. M.J. Goss who has been employed at Berne Union since 1999.
